The child star will play a very adult role in the costume drama “ Effie.” The 17-year-old plays Effie Gray, a woman in an epic love triangle that rocked Victorian England. Emma Thompson, who wrote the screenplay, told the Associated Press,"It happens to be a costume drama, but you could be doing a story with this kind of complexity and oddness in any period."
