Friends said royal bridesmaid, 27, and her 31-year-old beau Alex Loudon called it quits after a string of arguments.
A source told The Sun that Pippa, whose profile sky-rocketed after the royal wedding, had sought refuge with her sister after the split.
The unnamed friend told the paper: 'Pippa tried to get over the split by spending last weekend with Wills and Kate at Balmoral.
'She and Alex split briefly in the summer — but this time it's over. They are barely speaking.'

was spotted in the company of her former boyfriend and close friend, George Percy in Madrid, before reconciling with Loudon.
Loudon, a city banker, reportedly had found it difficult to deal with Pippa's sudden fame as a sex symbol.
Other friends revealed their relationship started crumbling after the royal wedding in April.
Middleton first met Loudon, a 31-year-old cricketeer turned finance whiz, on a blind date set up by mutual pals. Although Middleton has seemingly relished her newfound spotlight, Loudon's "life was turned upside down" after he joined her at the royal wedding on April 29.
